Book Review DeCandido, Keith RA: Demons of the air and darkness. Cross Cult, 2001/2010.

praiseworthy aspects : Keith RA DeCandido remains true to his style: As in "The Laws of the Federation " or "quintessence " is also the author of this book concentrated on background knowledge. The numerous allusions (eg to the beaming with approaching the speed of light in " The strange memory ", see p. 227), cross-references (eg to in "The Laws of the Federation" mentioned conflict between Delta agents and Correanern, see p. 29) and reviews (eg, the ironic dig at Kira's pregnancy, see p. 40) are as numerous as the guest stars, which otherwise so fine People like Scotty (see p. 34), Garak (see p. 238) or Mackenzie Calhoun (see p. 31) count.
One of these stars is highlighted: Gul Macet . This Cardassians from the TNG episode "The Wounded is mainly why so noteworthy because he was by none other than Marc Alaimo embodies. The actor, who previously had been several roles at TNG taken, was sent in the first place by his performance Gul Dukat DeCandido famous and knows how to drive with the fact literary hoax. As if this were not enough, DeCandido also brings another new character on board - a fact that could complicate the following authors may work, but here the concept fits well and gives the station a sexy note (see S . 239ff.).
