This book is completely out of line.
If I were forced to place this book in a genre or between two, so I would describe it as a mixture of thriller and soap opera. This sounds at first as bad as it is without question the one or another place. Nevertheless, one must admit the book but to have a certain charm.
addition to the classically-inspired, the author builds tension curve Jean Lorrah in "Murder on the volcano-academy" that is its own universe and its own atmosphere, which helps to understand Vulcans and their culture better. And yet I can recommend this work only.
The exotic atmosphere and exotic flair volcano and its people draws the reader in its spell, which is not least because the author himself every effort was to take the canon as a reference point and the sporadic information from the classic TV series around a credible picture of the Vulcan culture cobble together. The result justifies further consideration and has not earned that fellow writers and filmmakers went about it so consistently.
