How To Connect Tv To Multiple

The horror of Black Torment

late 50s and early 60s horror films were Britain's No. 1 export. In particular, the strip from the home made hammer in the home, the U.S. and Europe big money. No wonder that the producers resourceful competitors do not want to leave all of the pie. And so did the Tony Tenser, who had previously worked as a press spokesman and the distributor, and Michael Klinger, the owner a striptease restaurant together. After she had initially shown in a cinema, had the problems with the British censors, they had started after a trip as a lender in order, first sex films, 1964 but with THE GREY ON BLACK TORMENT (The Black Torment) a horror movie in the best British Gothic-style produce.

"My God, You beautiful teeth!"

Sir Richard (John Turner) who married after the death of his beloved wife again. With his new bride Elizabeth (Heather Sears), he returns after the honeymoon back to the manor of his family. But in his home, Richard is very received unfriendly. It surely means that he should have gone recently to a young girl and murdered. But how can that be? At the material time, the Richard knows he was still with Elizabeth. It gets worse: soon are accumulating evidence that his first wife haunting as a ghost on the property. Richard is sinking ever deeper in the gloom. Neither Elizabeth nor his best friend Seymour (Peter Arne) seem to be able to help him. One night, roll over the events.

BLACK TORMENT is not a true horror movie. Fans of Hammer Strip will end up be a little disappointed that a real, polynuclear detective story behind all the costumes and lavishly decorated sets is hidden. Speaking of: There are also the strengths of the film: The equipment is beautiful and has to hide behind the productions of the competition in any way. The music is atmospheric, and the director conjures evocative images on the screen or TV. The unused actors do their job well, and the German Synchro is done very carefully.

"Does the saddle to my coat?" What do you think? "

The film was in Germany once advertised so that all who betray the end, be hit by a curse (which will be in German bias also points again). In order to point to make sure I'm going to hold back with real spoilers so. But unfortunately it is true that one has guessed the movie's resolution after a few minutes. What in the '60s was perhaps even more surprising (but I do not believe), is now cliche and predictable. Too bad, because then the movie loses what should actually wear it. Here, the writer come up with some tricks interests and ideas. The end features a thrilling duel, and that all the characters get more ambivalent and not entirely sympathetic, and thus have a "smooth finish", gives the film a brittle, realistic charm - if you will. THE GRAY TO BLACK

TORMENT is undoubtedly an asset to every friend British horror fare. Technically, the film can keep up with hammer in any case. When the cocky in denouncing then become the non-starter, does it hurt so. Nevertheless, given a certain tension remains, as at the end then perhaps one or the other (smaller) takes the form of surprise, so that one sits at the latest in the Grand Final at the edge of his seat and chews his nails. Conclusion: Acceptable to good, but expandable.
